Welcome to the Collaborative Learning wiki for the Nordic Network of International Schools.
On these pages you will discover how to create and collaborate with colleagues online. You will see how easy it is to set up learning environments for students to collaborate on projects as well. You will learn how to create your own classroom wiki to collaborate and share with your learning community.
Before creating content on these pages or using any web 2.0 applications shown on this wiki please read the user agreement below.
NORDIC NETWORK INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS WEB 2.O USER AGREEMENT
1. Students, parents and teachers using Web 2.0 programs are expected to treat all Web 2.0 applications and programs as a classroom space. Speech that is inappropriate for class is not appropriate for the Web 2.0 programs. Students will not use curse words or inappropriate language. Students will try to spell everything correctly and use proper English and grammar. Students will not plagiarize. We expect that you will conduct yourself in a manner reflective of a representative of our schools.
2. Students, parents and teachers who violate the agreements here shall forfeit their right to participate in Web 2.0 applications and programs and will face other sanctions deemed appropriate by school administration.
3. The Nordic Network Wikispace and other Web 2.0 applications are to be a forum for student work and collaboration with other class members and the teacher. However, they are first and foremost a tool for learning, and as such, will sometimes be constrained by the various requirements and rules of classroom teachers.
4. Students, parents and teachers will consider all Web 2.0 applications and programs a virtual extension of our classrooms, and therefore all school Rules and Regulations apply. Any violation of any of these rules will be referred to the school administration.
5. Never will students, parents or teacher give out or record personal information on the wikispace or other Web 2.0 applications and programs. These applications, including our Nordic Network wikispace, exist as a public yet protected space on the Internet. The user will not share anything that he/she does not want the world to know. For the safety of the student, only FIRST NAMES will be used on all Web 2.0 applications and programs and no personal information is to be revealed.
